Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi is to Get CBFC Clearance, Ahead of Release on January 10

Sivakarthikeyan’s most-awaited film Parasakthi is to receive its clearance certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to the latest updates, the certificate is likely to be issued today. The CBFC had suggested 23 edits, which the filmmakers addressed before the review.

Earlier reports from industry sources revealed that the CBFC in Chennai had asked director Sudha Kongara to make certain changes in the film. These edits were mainly related to scenes and dialogues portraying the anti-Hindi movement, which is a key historical event in Tamil Nadu.

The director and the team from Dawn Pictures approached the Revising Committee in Mumbai to discuss these suggested edits. Sudha Kongara was reportedly concerned that cutting some parts of the film could affect the storyline and its historical context.
